“Besac” is conceived as a vital contribution to the local community, but also to the general Montenegrin cultural offer through the connection of several segments that complement each other.

The fortress was renovated on two occasions, in 2013 and 2016, when conservation and restoration works were realized, financed from European Union funds, thanks to which it was prepared for the new time to come.

2017. In 2017, the Government of Montenegro and the Ministry of Culture raised the issue of valorisation of cultural goods in the country and “Besac” is one of the locations that came into their focus.

Today, “Besac” is a place that promotes the rich history and culture of the region and contributes to the overall cultural offer of Montenegro. This is a place where you can enjoy facts and legends, local food and drink and it is a great way to escape from uninspiring everyday life.
