The Besac fortress has an extremely favorable position for tourism valorization, primarily because of its thoughtful, strategic position:

• An isolated unit, outside the city center;
• Surrounded by Lake Skadar, the advantages of which are at its disposal;
• It represents the central gate of Crmnica and its “wine roads”.

Viewed topographically, the position of the fortress offers access to extremely attractive localities, which are already recognized by tourists and of exceptional importance for the creation of an additional contextual value, either through linking with them or through the implementation of certain segments from the given areas into the offer of Besac itself:

• Lesandro;
• Vranjina;
• Oko Raduš;
• Manastir Beška;
• Plaža Murići;
• Godinje;
• Rumija;
• Chestnut forest etc…

Between the karst depressions rose the karst elevations that represent today’s islands of the lake. There are about fifty of them and the largest are: Grmožur, Starčevo, Beška, Moračnik, Gradac, Tophala, Gorica, Gljat and others. and they are extremely suitable for creating a narrative that will additionally find its foothold in the locality itself – partly as a true bird’s paradise, but also as a cultural-historical monument that testifies to the former importance of this area.
